When the only places left to live are Siberia and Antarctica, they will be quite unwelcome.

Climate realists need a succinct and unhedged summary statement, that can be posted, reposted, and pasted into comment threads everywhere. Here is a first draft of the kind of thing I mean, in less than 200 words. Needs footnotes.

The climate facts on which over 90% of scientists agree, are presented below.

1. The land, water and air where humans live is getting hotter fast. At the present rates of change, in 100 years, many of the places we live now will be too hot for humans to inhabit.

2. The ice and snow on our planet is melting fast. The added water is making the oceans deeper, which is covering up the land on the coasts, where most humans live.

3. The hotter biosphere disrupts the web of life on earth, of which humans are a part, and upon which humans depend. Many plants and animals are going extinct.

4. The hotter air disrupts weather patterns, which disrupts farming, which causes food shortages and starvation.

5. It is too late to stop the warming of the earth; it has already begun. Every delay makes it even hotter. Every delay makes it more expensive to adapt.
